Installations 2016
This year at Friends with Books, two solo artist installations are on view in the exhibitor halls:
The Museum of Longing and Failure, MOLAF Approximations No. 1 – 50, 2016
The Museum of Longing and Failure (MOLAF) presents an installation of fifty sculptural works, MOLAF Approximations No. 1 – 50, 2016, to accompany the launch of its new publication, MOLAF Incarnations (2016).
MOLAF Incarnations is a fictional narrative based on the first fifty artworks acquired by the Museum of Longing and Failure. Similarly, each MOLAF Approximation on display loosely corresponds to one of these fifty collected works.

Sveinn Fannar Jóhannsson, Sinking Holes, Circles, Holes and Other Holes, 2016
Sveinn Fannar Jóhannsson’s installation encompasses two works comprised of archival media images sourced from the Internet. It features the takeaway broadsheet newspaper Untitled (Newspaper), 2016, with photographs from online news sources, and Untitled (Holes), 2016, with sculptural grids displaying found media documentation of sinkholes as phenomena.
